Everyone has policy statements these days, and it seems that often they are a way of hiding from responsibilities. For us we hope that they will reveal to you more of who we are and how we operate so you can have confidence in your dealings with us. Policy statements also act as benchmarks where you can test our performance (what we do) against what we say we will do.


Delivery of most items within Australia ranges from $9.90 to $18.50 depending on your location and the size and weight of your order. We do our best to minimise shipping costs and recycle packaging where possible to be more environmental and economical!

All items are available for shipping with the exception of both Aerobins which are currently only available for in store pickup, if you require delivery of these items contact us for a shipping quote and we will do our best to accommodate your request.

Pick up in store is FREE! Orders will generally be available the following day for customer pick up. You will receive an email or phone call to advise when your goods are ready to be collected. However, please note that all orders placed online, must be paid for through our online system prior to pick up.

Please note, due to the high cost of shipping, we do not ship to international addresses. We are only able to accept orders from within Australia.

Guarantee and 30 day returns

Ecolateral guarantee that you will be satisfied with your shopping experience and that you will be happy to shop with us again. If this is not the case, please contact us so that we can discuss your concerns and make sure we meet your expectations.

If you are not satisfied with a product once you have received it, you are welcome to return it to us within 30 days, unused and in a pristine, saleable condition with the original packaging (*there are some exceptions) and we will refund your cost of goods.

*The following items cannot be returned (unless they are faulty of course):

Skin and body care, makeup and food items - as we cannot be sure whether these items have been exposed to heat and thus spoiled. We are sure you agree that you would not wish to receive one of these items that had previously travelled around Australia! We are happy to help you make the right decision first time, so please don't hesitate to call us on (08) 8333 3478.

How to arrange returns:

Please email us with details of the product you wish to return. We will email back with return approval and confirmation of our postal address.

You then pack the products safely into a suitable box or postage bag, address the parcel and drop them into a convenient Post Office or post box.

Once we have received the parcel and verified that the items are unused and undamaged, we will send you an email confirming that we will refund the cost of your goods. Please allow 2 - 7 days for the refund to appear in your PayPal account or on your credit card to allow for bank processing.

Please do take care with packaging the items, as we cannot take responsibility for any damage in return transit.

Faulty goods

Should you believe a product is faulty, please email us immediately to discuss the best course of action. Please do not return products without first contacting us. If we assess a product and find it to be faulty we will refund your cost of goods and return shipping at our discretion.

How to shop online and pick-up in store

You can shop online and pick up in store. Simply choose this option at checkout. However, please note that all orders placed online, must be paid for through our online system prior to pick up.  You will receive an email when your order is ready in store for you to collect, if you would prefer to be contacted by phone please enter your phone number in the Comments Box during Checkout.

Using the secure online shop

Browse through our product collections using the shopping navigation menu under “Products”. When you find a product that you would like to purchase, click the ‘Add to Cart’ button. A message will temporarily appear across the bottom of your screen giving you the option to visit your cart or to continue shopping. You may make your selection, or simply continue shopping without making any selection. When you are ready to visit your shopping cart you will find a link located in the top right hand corner of your window.

If you wish to purchase multiples of an item, you can click ‘Add to Cart” the desired number of times, or click 'Add to Cart' once and then at the Shopping Cart page you will be able to insert the required quantity. After you insert a new quantity or remove an item, click 'Update' to effect the changes.

Once you have finished your product selections, click ‘Checkout’. You can still delete / add items until you finalise your payment.

You will be given the option to log in if you are a returning customer – this saves you entering all your address details again. Alternatively you can “Checkout as Guest” in which case you will have the option of creating an account on the Order Confirmation page after checking out.

You will be asked to enter your delivery and payment details. At the checkout, you can pay using your PayPal account or using your credit card. Your credit card details are securely transmitted using industry-leading encryption technology and fraud protection.

After entering your details you will be given a choice of applicable shipping methods, and the appropriate postage cost will be added to your order if relevant.

You will receive an automatic confirmation of your order by email, Should you not receive this email, it means that your order may not have been confirmed. Please contact us to check. If you have paid with PayPal you will also receive an email of confirmation of payment from PayPal directly.

A tax invoice will accompany your purchases.

Please note, due to the high cost of international postage, Ecolateral only ship to Australian addresses. All prices are displayed in Australian Dollars and include GST where applicable. All transactions are processed in Australian Dollars.

Our website supports 128-bit and greater SSL ("Secure Sockets Layer") encryption, the highest levels of SSL encryption currently available to consumers. This ensures the safety and security of your credit card transactions.

Delivery costs and times

Within SA: most orders are charged at a flat rate of $9.90.

* An additional P&H surcharge of $4.60 applies for orders over 5kg in weight or large in size to some areas. This will be clearly indicated at the checkout.

Within ACT, NSW, NT and VIC: most orders are charged at a flat rate of $10.50**.

Within QLD, TAS and WA: most orders are charged at a flat rate of $12.50**.

International Orders: Unfortunately we are unable to offer international postage at this time. Ecolateral only ships to Australian addresses.

Delivery times

We aim to ship your order within 2 or 3 working days from Adelaide - except where an ordered item is out of stock your order may be delayed for several days until we have all items to send at once (we will advise you of any delay by telephone or email). We endeavour to keep all product lines in stock at all times however due to unforeseeable circumstances this is not always possible.

Should you require urgent delivery for a certain date, or have special delivery requirements, please contact us on or tel. (08) 8333 3478 to avoid any disappointment. While we cannot always guarantee delivery by a certain date, we will do our best to assist you.

Our estimated delivery times from when an order is placed are:

  • For metropolitan Adelaide, Canberra, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney you should receive your goods within 5 - 8 working days. 
  • For Queensland, Tasmania and regional areas of all other States, your order will take 7 - 13 working days to arrive.

Delivery service terms and conditions

Please be aware of these standard terms for reliable mail-order services.

  • Most orders are sent by Registered Australia Post e-parcel service, ensuring that your order can be traced. Occasionally selected courier services are used. 
  • If no-one is at home when Australia Post or the courier delivers, you should receive a 'calling card' detailing where to collect the parcel from the Post Office (or for couriers, how to arrange redelivery). 
  • If no-one will be at home during the day, you might consider having the order shipped to a work address. 
  • Instructions to leave - you can also provide special instructions (in the Comments Box during Checkout) for the order to be left in a safe location should you not be at home. Please note, however, that by doing so you take responsibility should the order go missing after it is delivered.

Please note:

  • It is your responsibility to advise us if an order delivery is late, incorrect or damaged. Please contact us immediately on Should an order be lost in transit, damaged or incorrect, we may not send replacement items immediately. Replacement items will be dispatched according to our discretion following our investigations. 
  • We do not accept liability for any loss or damage arising from items lost, stolen or damaged after delivery has taken place. 
  • We will not be held liable for any loss or damage resulting from late delivery.

Creating an account and password

You have an option to create an account as you proceed through the Checkout or you can create one at anytime by clicking ‘Login’ in the top left hand corner of your window and entering your email address and a password. Creating an account gives you a handy feature that stores any items in your Shopping Cart should you need to log-off before finalising your order. When you return later you can continue adding or delete any item. Other convenient details such as your address will also be stored so that you do not need to enter these next time. We do not store credit card details -- PayPal processes these and we do not even see them.

Forgotten your password? Go to the ‘Login’ page and click on the "Forgotten your password?" link. An email will be sent to your email address with a link to reset your password within about 15 minutes.

Gift service

Online shopping is perfect for gift giving, as your gift can be sent directly to the person, wherever they may live. To do this, at the checkout you simply specify a different delivery address from your billing address. Contact us if you wish to add a card with a personal message. We provide a beautiful gift wrapping service using muslin cloth tied with raffia - a perfect accompaniment to your eco-friendly gift. Gift wrapping is provided for a donation of $2 which is passed on directly to our registered charity Free the Bears. We are their biggest shop front fundraiser which is testament to our fabulous customers.

You can also purchase a gift voucher for use online or in store and have it sent to you or the recipient by email. Click here to purchase Gift Vouchers. If you prefer not to receive your gift voucher by email we will happily post it free of charge.


We are environmentally conscious and use responsible packaging materials. We also recycle all packaging materials that are sent to us and we will collect packaging from other local businesses for reuse. Therefore, you may sometimes receive packaging such as plastic bubble wrap, but rest assured, at least it is being reused.
